Petrovi Piknovi makes video blogs for our project featuring a variety of guests. This is an interview with Professor Vladimír Šlapetom from Brno Technical University, whose father Lubomir was the architect of the first renovation of the synagogue into a concert hall and theatre. This project was ultimately not completed, but in his estates Peter Szalay of the Museum of Arts in Olemouc found original drawings by Peter Behrens. This interview is about Behrens and how he got to Zilina, but also about Vladimír Šlapetom’s father, Lubomir and his architectural work during the post-war period. We interviewed Vladimír Šlapetom even before we found the Behrens documentation. Watch:
